General Manager of Sales (Logistics)

About the role

Staffora HR Consultancy is recruiting an accomplished General Manager of Sales to lead and expand a client's overall sales function. The role holder sets the sales strategy, drives revenue growth, leads the sales team and strengthens the company's market position across its trading business lines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Lead, mentor and manage the sales team across business lines.
• Identify new markets, opportunities and strategic partnerships to expand the customer base.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors and partners.
• Set sales targets, budgets and KPIs, and monitor performance.
• Analyse market trends, competitors and customer needs to inform sales and pricing.
• Work with senior management on business planning, forecasting and P&L management.
• Oversee contract negotiations and approve major deals in line with company policy.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and report regularly to the Managing Director / CEO.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or a related field (MBA is a plus).
• Minimum 10-12 years of progressive sales experience, including at least 3-5 years in a senior sales leadership role.
• Proven track record of leading sales teams and delivering revenue growth, ideally in general trading.
• Mandatory UAE market experience and a strong network in UAE trading, distribution or related B2B markets.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of P&L management, budgeting and sales forecasting.
• Strategic and commercial acumen, leadership and negotiation skills.
• Data-driven decision-making and analytical reporting.
