General Manager – Oil & Gas

About the role

The General Manager will lead the Oil & Gas division of a well‑established local group in Abu Dhabi. Reporting directly to the CEO and Board, the role is responsible for overall performance, growth and strategic direction of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Drive profitable growth and scale the division across the GCC market.
• Own full P&L responsibility and ensure sustainable business performance.
• Lead high‑value contract negotiations, tendering and delivery, including ADNOC/ENOC processes.
• Develop and maintain a senior‑level network with operators, utilities, EPC contractors, regulators and other key stakeholders.
• Provide strategic, commercial and operational leadership to the division’s teams.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive experience in the GCC Oil & Gas sector.
• Minimum 5 years in a General Manager, Managing Director or equivalent senior leadership role with full P&L responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of the UAE and wider GCC Oil & Gas market.
• Strong, active senior‑level network across industry stakeholders.
• Hands‑on experience with ADNOC and/or ENOC pre‑qualification and tendering processes.
• Proven record of scaling businesses, winning high‑value contracts and delivering results.
• Strong commercial, strategic, operational and people‑leadership capabilities.
