General Practitioner – Women & Children Hospital

About the role

Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children is seeking a compassionate General Practitioner to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care for women and children. The GP will assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions while ensuring seamless continuity of care and appropriate specialist referrals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in line with evidence‑based clinical guidelines.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, and monitor patient progress.
• Provide preventive health services, education, and lifestyle counseling to patients and families.
• Order, interpret, and act upon laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other investigations.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and ensure integrated patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records within the hospital’s electronic medical record system.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.

Required profile

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Valid DOH license/eligibility as a General Practitioner.
• Minimum 3 years of post‑internship clinical experience, preferably in a hospital or primary‑care setting.
• Strong knowledge of evidence‑based clinical guidelines and patient safety standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
