General Repair Technician – Electric Vehicle

About the role

Al-Futtaim Automotive, in partnership with BYD, is seeking a General Repair Technician specialized in electric vehicles. You will work on BYD EVs, performing maintenance, diagnostics and repairs while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance, diagnostics and repair work on BYD electric vehicles.
• Perform repairs in accordance with EV safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure “Fix It Right” and “First‑Time‑Right” repair standards are met.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and support electronic vehicle check reporting.
• Follow workshop safety, quality and 5S standards.
• Meet productivity and utilization targets.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to continuously improve service delivery.

Required profile

• Basic experience (approximately 1 month) in vehicle maintenance or repair.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow workshop manuals.
• Commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
