General Technician – Civil

About the role

The General Technician – Civil will ensure that all civil, structural and finishing elements of the Hyatt Place Dubai property are safe, functional and visually appealing. You will work on a variety of maintenance tasks while supporting guest comfort and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance programmes across the hotel.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations such as water ingress or building defects.
• Repair walls, ceilings, flooring and architectural finishes, including plastering, painting, tiling and waterproofing.
• Perform carpentry repairs and support engineering projects as required.
• Conduct regular inspections, report structural concerns and ensure compliance with health, safety, fire and environmental procedures.
• Maintain professional interaction with guests, minimizing disruption during works.

Required profile

• Diploma, ITI, trade certification or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Building Maintenance, Masonry, Carpentry, Construction Technology or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as a General Technician, Civil Technician or Maintenance Technician, preferably in hotels, resorts or large facilities.
• Strong attention to safety, punctuality and grooming standards.
