Government Relations Officer

About the role

The Government and Regulatory Officer processes and responds to requests from courts, police, public prosecution and other authorities across the UAE and Qatar. The role ensures all cases are handled timely, accurately and in compliance with internal policies and regulatory instructions. It supports the Manager and the unit in meeting objectives through execution of approved processes.

Key responsibilities

• Process UAE court orders according to approved procedures.
• Process Qatar court orders and law‑enforcement agency requests within defined SLAs.
• Handle police letters and enquiries across all UAE emirates.
• Manage correspondence with Public Prosecution and CID in the UAE.
• Manage and respond to email enquiries from government entities and stakeholders.
• Execute case processing through the Velocity‑MOFT system where applicable.
• Ensure all communications comply with regulatory instructions and internal policies.
• Monitor, coordinate and follow up on assigned cases to achieve timely closure.
• Support initiatives that improve operational efficiency and service quality.
• Coordinate with internal departments (CIBG, RBG, Operations, Head Office) and external government entities.

Required profile

• Proven experience processing court orders and handling government or regulatory requests.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks in the UAE and Qatar.
• Ability to work closely with internal departments such as CIBG, RBG, Operations and Head Office.
• Strong coordination and follow‑up skills to meet service level agreements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Velocity‑MOFT case management system.
