Junior Construction Associate (Lawyer)

About the role

As a Junior Construction Associate you will apply your legal expertise to advise and support clients on complex construction projects, drafting and negotiating key documentation while developing your technical knowledge through the Firm’s extensive education programme.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and analyse construction contracts, particularly EPC, as well as operation/FM and ancillary documentation for sponsors, developers, funders and contractors.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams of clients, lawyers and professional advisers, ensuring disciplined matter management and compliance with opening and conflicts clearance processes.
• Utilise the Firm’s Best Delivery tools—including templates, the Legal Support Centre, resource management systems, legal project managers and matter balance reports—to deliver efficient and high‑quality legal services.
• Complete all mandatory training on skills, risk and legal matters to maintain up‑to‑date technical expertise.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience at a comparable law firm or overseas common‑law practice.
• Junior to mid‑level non‑contentious construction experience on large international or complex projects.
• Excellent document‑drafting ability, strong analytical and communication skills, and high commercial and cultural awareness.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams across jurisdictions and an appetite for handling complex projects and developing client relationships.
