Government Relations Officer (UAE National)

About the role

The Government and Regulatory Officer ensures that all requests and queries from courts, police, public prosecution and other authorities in the UAE and Qatar are processed accurately, compliantly and within agreed service levels. The role supports the unit head and manager by executing approved processes and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Process UAE and Qatar court orders and law‑enforcement agency requests according to defined SLAs.
• Handle police letters, public prosecution and CID correspondence across all UAE emirates.
• Manage the inbox for government enquiries and respond in a timely manner.
• Execute case processing through the Velocity‑MOFT system where applicable.
• Ensure all communications comply with regulatory instructions and internal policies.
• Monitor, coordinate and follow up on assigned cases to achieve timely closure.
• Support initiatives that improve operational efficiency and service quality.
• Coordinate with branch managers, unit heads and internal departments to resolve issues raised by regulators.
• Maintain effective relationships with external regulators and internal support teams such as Technology.
• Perform other duties as assigned by line management.

Required profile

• UAE national with strong knowledge of local court and regulatory procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to work under strict deadlines and meet service level agreements.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong compliance orientation.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with government entities and internal stakeholders.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using the Velocity‑MOFT case management system.
