Grocery Operations Manager

About the role

Deliveroo’s New Verticals team is expanding its on‑demand grocery business across the UAE. The Grocery Operations Manager will own the full operational picture for picker‑site networks, leading a team of Site Leads, Team Leads and Fulfilment Associates to ensure fast, accurate and friction‑less order delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day picker‑site operations across all active grocery partner locations, meeting SLA and partner standards.
• Directly supervise Site Leads, providing direction, feedback and development support; indirectly oversee Team Leads and Fulfilment Associates.
• Conduct regular field visits to audit execution quality, picker behaviour and partner compliance.
• Own the order lifecycle – pick accuracy, pack quality, readiness time and handoff to riders.
• Prepare sites for new launches, including pre‑launch audits, SOP briefings and post‑launch performance reviews.
• Lead escalation management for SLA breaches, operational failures or partner incidents.
• Own core operational KPIs (order accuracy, item unavailability, cancellations, late orders, rejection rate) and produce weekly business review commentary.
• Build and maintain dashboards, trackers and perform root‑cause analysis to drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing operational teams in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment.
• Comfortable working both on the shop floor and in performance review meetings.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate field data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
