Group Procurement Manager – Strategic Sourcing Lead

About the role

The Group Procurement Manager will act as a strategic thinker and independent operator, driving high‑impact procurement initiatives across RSA Group. You will work with minimal supervision, applying strong commercial judgment to identify cost‑optimization, vendor governance, and risk‑mitigation opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead group‑wide strategic procurement initiatives and identify consolidation and efficiency opportunities.
• Negotiate high‑value contracts across categories such as insurance, outsourcing, IT, labor services, and logistics.
• Conduct competitive analysis, benchmarking, and evaluate pricing models and vendor proposals.
• Proactively recommend cost‑efficiency strategies and challenge existing vendor arrangements where justified.
• Develop and maintain vendor governance frameworks, conduct surprise audits, and manage senior‑level vendor relationships.
• Assess vendor dependencies, procurement risks, and support group‑wide strategic events.
• Collaborate with business‑unit procurement teams while maintaining independent judgment.
• Monitor CAPEX procurement budgets and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
• Establish disciplined purchase requisition and order controls to prevent maverick spending.
• Provide structured reporting on commercial developments, spend analytics, savings, and risk insights.

Required profile

• 8–15 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing.
• Experience in multi‑entity or group environments is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead negotiations and drive cost‑reduction initiatives.
