Guest Relations Officer / Receptionist

About the role

The Guest Relations Officer / Receptionist will be the first point of contact for guests aboard the iconic QE2 floating hotel. You will ensure a seamless arrival, stay, and departure experience while supporting the hotel’s operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate daily hotel occupancy and coordinate with reservations, sales, and housekeeping to maximise guest satisfaction.
• Greet guests, answer inquiries, handle incoming calls and resolve guest requests promptly.
• Perform check‑in and check‑out procedures using the Opera property management system.
• Prepare and maintain occupancy, guest, group, and individual arrival reports each day.
• Inform guests about rates and services, and create, modify or cancel reservations as needed.
• Manage room allocation, safe‑deposit boxes and ensure compliance with key‑control policies.
• Assist the concierge with guest services and stay updated on emergency procedures.
• Monitor credit‑limit reports and manage room availability efficiently.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist or a similar role in the UAE.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Opera property management system.
• Competence in Microsoft applications.
