Guest Service Agent - Front Desk

About the role

An Accor hotel in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is looking for a friendly and professional Guest Service Agent. As the face of the hotel, you will make sure guests have an exceptional experience from check-in to check-out. The position is full-time and permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly, setting the tone for their stay
• Manage check-in and check-out efficiently and accurately
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
• Inform guests about hotel amenities, services and local attractions in Sharjah
• Coordinate with other departments to meet guest requests and keep them comfortable
• Maintain a neat and organized front desk area
• Process payments and manage guest accounts
• Handle incoming and outgoing calls accurately and courteously
• Promote hotel facilities and look for opportunities to upsell
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the hotel's fire, life and safety system

Required profile

• Fluency in English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage
• Previous experience as a Guest Service Agent or in a similar role in a luxury hotel preferred
• Knowledge of local attractions and services in Sharjah and the surrounding areas
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
• Cultural sensitivity for a diverse international clientele

Required skills

• Proficiency in hotel management software (OperaCloud preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and problem-solving
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
