Head Barista

About the role

The Head Barista leads all coffee operations across the hotel’s café, lobby lounge, specialty coffee outlet and other designated venues. This senior position ensures luxury‑level beverage quality, exceptional service and continuous team development within a 5‑star resort environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all coffee service areas, maintaining brand‑standard preparation and presentation.
• Calibrate espresso machines and grinders, conduct quality checks on beans, milk, syrups and other ingredients.
• Develop and maintain standard recipes, seasonal promotions and specialty coffee programs.
• Lead, train and mentor a team of baristas, conduct briefings, assign duties and monitor performance.
• Manage inventory, control waste, order supplies and ensure proper storage and shelf‑life monitoring.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, enforce food safety and hygiene standards, and maintain operational records.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years experience as a barista in a luxury hotel, premium café or specialty coffee environment.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory or leadership experience managing barista teams.
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee programs, espresso‑based beverages and alternative brewing methods.
• Luxury hospitality experience highly preferred.
