Head Barista

About the role

The Head Barista leads all coffee operations across the hotel’s café, lobby lounge, specialty coffee outlet and other designated venues. You will ensure luxury‑level beverage quality, drive product innovation and create memorable guest experiences through expert coffee craftsmanship and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all coffee service areas, guaranteeing consistent preparation and presentation of specialty coffee, tea and other beverages.
• Calibrate espresso machines and grinders, conduct quality checks on beans, milk, syrups and maintain optimal extraction.
• Develop and maintain standard recipes, operating procedures and support seasonal beverage promotions.
• Lead, train and mentor the barista team, schedule shifts, conduct briefings and monitor performance.
• Manage inventory of coffee beans, teas, dairy products and supplies, minimizing waste and controlling costs.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, equipment servicing and ensure all tools are in excellent condition.
• Enforce food safety, HACCP standards and hotel hygiene policies throughout all beverage preparation areas.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑5 years experience as a barista in a luxury hotel, premium café or specialty coffee environment.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience managing barista teams.
• Proven experience with specialty coffee programs, espresso‑based drinks and alternative brewing methods.
• Luxury hospitality experience is highly preferred.
