Head of Commercial Legal

About the role

The Head of Commercial Legal will be the primary legal point of contact for PayTabs Global’s staff and functional units in the United Arab Emirates. The role oversees commercial legal affairs across multiple regions, including India, MENA, CIS, and Bahrain, and adapts to changing jurisdictional needs as directed by the Group Legal Function.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders and protect the company’s interests in external dealings.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, documents, and transaction forms with a focus on risk management.
• Liaise with external counsel, regulatory bodies, and commercial partners.
• Participate in commercial contract negotiations and daily work planning.
• Collaborate with senior management to align contract strategies with commercial goals.
• Advise on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and entity incorporations.
• Maintain a contract management/tracking tool and ensure up‑to‑date document libraries.
• Monitor regulatory changes, ensure compliance, and support audits.
• Implement legal risk assessments, data protection frameworks, and intellectual‑property management.

Required profile

• Minimum 120 months (10 years) of relevant legal experience.
• Experience handling commercial legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to work with senior management and external stakeholders.
