Head of Data and AI Governance

About the role

The Head of Data and AI Governance will design, implement and operate an enterprise‑wide framework that oversees data assets, artificial intelligence usage and user access controls across the bank. This senior position ensures that data and AI are managed responsibly, securely and in line with regulatory, ethical and risk requirements while supporting business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a governance framework for data, AI models and user access across all business units.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory, AML, fraud and operational risk standards.
• Collaborate with Business, IT, Information Security, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit to embed governance controls.
• Report timely on operational risk, fraud and AML issues to senior management.
• Define policies, procedures and controls for identity and access governance.
• Lead risk identification, analysis, treatment and ongoing monitoring for data and AI initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in risk management, compliance or governance within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management principles.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with IT, security, risk and audit teams.
• Demonstrated commitment to integrity, customer focus and consistent execution.
