Head of Employee Banking & Business Development

About the role

The Head of Employee Banking & Business Development will lead the strategic direction of personal and payroll banking services, driving market share, growth and profitability for Emirates Islamic Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the strategic plan for Personal Banking and oversee the payroll program for mid‑ to large‑sized companies.
• Set financial targets, manage budgeting and monitor performance against KPIs such as customer growth, revenue and operational efficiency.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration with Corporate Banking and Business Banking to source individual customers and allocate corporate clients to relationship managers.
• Manage key employer accounts and institutional sales, ensuring optimal coverage across branch, employee banking sales and direct channels.
• Develop and roll out a multi‑channel strategy, enhancing channel capability and capacity based on market trends.
• Champion digitisation of sales management using tools like the SalesARM mobile app and LinkedIn for social selling.
• Ensure full compliance through audit oversight and compliance reviews.

Required profile

• Graduate or post‑graduate degree, preferably in marketing, finance, banking or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of retail banking experience.
• At least 5 years of experience leading relationship‑management or segment teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the SalesARM mobile application.
• Experience using LinkedIn for social selling.
