Head of Finance & Custody (VARA-regulated Dubai VASP)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced finance and client‑asset professional to lead Finance & Custody for our VARA‑regulated Dubai VASP entity. The role combines ownership of core financial and management reporting with day‑to‑day oversight of client money and virtual asset safeguarding.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual management and financial accounts, including budget‑to‑actuals review.
• Submit VARA regulatory reporting packs and act as primary contact for finance‑related VARA inquiries.
• Develop forecasts and budgets in collaboration with Group FP&A, monitoring paid‑up capital and Net Liquid Assets thresholds.
• Lead the entity’s statutory audit process and maintain the finance function’s control environment and risk register.
• Monitor, control and report on the safeguarding of client money and virtual assets, ensuring compliance with the VASP licence.
• Support Group FP&A with ad‑hoc corporate requests and prepare Board presentations on financial performance and capital position.

Required profile

• Finance professional with strong control focus and ability to operate independently in a fast‑evolving regulatory environment.
• Experience in both traditional financial/regulatory reporting and custody/client‑asset safeguarding.
• Proven ability to build robust control frameworks for newly licensed entities.
