Head of Legal

About the role

The Head of Legal will lead Daman Investments' legal function, providing strategic counsel across corporate, commercial and regulatory matters. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure that legal risks are identified, mitigated and aligned with the group’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on mergers, acquisitions, share transfers and corporate restructuring in compliance with UAE and international law.
• Draft, negotiate and review shareholders agreements, joint venture documents, MoUs and partnership contracts.
• Provide legal support for domestic and cross‑border M&A transactions from due diligence through integration.
• Manage commercial contracts including licensing, supply, agency, consultancy and distribution agreements.
• Oversee corporate governance, board resolutions, statutory filings and regulatory compliance, especially within ADGM and DIFC.
• Lead litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution, coordinating with external counsel.
• Develop and maintain internal policies, data‑protection terms, website T&Cs and other compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate or investment environment.
• Proven track record handling complex M&A, corporate governance and regulatory matters.
• Strong ability to work with senior business units and external advisors.
