Head of Production

About the role

The Head of Production will lead all production activities for Wasl Channel, overseeing film, video, photography, digital, social media and branded content projects. You will ensure every project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest creative and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement production strategies, workflows and best practices.
• Build and manage a high‑performing production team, including producers, managers and freelancers.
• Oversee resource planning, scheduling and allocation across multiple concurrent projects.
• Supervise projects from pre‑production through post‑production and final delivery.
• Review call sheets, crew requirements and logistical arrangements, mitigating risks.
• Develop, approve and monitor project budgets, cost estimates and profitability.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with suppliers, talent, studios and vendors.
• Recruit, mentor and evaluate production staff and freelance talent.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media, Communications, Business or a related field.
• Proven experience managing high‑value commercial, broadcast, digital or branded content productions.
• Strong understanding of pre‑production, production, post‑production and content delivery workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, contracts and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, client management and stakeholder engagement skills.
