Head of Systems Engineering & MBSE

About the role

Volantes Technical Recruitment is seeking a Head of Systems Engineering and Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to join the founding team of a groundbreaking advanced air mobility project in the UAE. This senior position will shape the technical direction of the programme and work alongside world‑class engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the systems engineering function and drive MBSE practices across the project.
• Develop and maintain SysML models, ensuring model governance and traceability.
• Manage requirements throughout the product lifecycle, aligning them with ARP4754 standards.
• Oversee toolchain deployment and integration to support the engineering workflow.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team.

Required profile

• Certified experience on aerospace programmes.
• Deep, current expertise in SysML modelling.
• Proven model‑governance experience.
• Strong background in requirements management.
• Hands‑on experience with ARP4754 processes.
• Experience deploying or integrating engineering toolchains.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in complex projects.
