Health Safety Environment Engineer

About the role

As an HSE Engineer you will implement, monitor and maintain health, safety and environmental standards across construction activities for a new project in Abu Dhabi. You will conduct risk assessments, inspections and audits while fostering a strong safety culture on site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE plans, procedures and checklists aligned with corporate policies and regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments (HIRA, JSA, HAZOP) and recommend control measures.
• Perform regular site inspections, audits and compliance checks.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports and corrective action plans.
• Monitor environmental aspects such as waste management, emissions and noise control.
• Provide HSE inductions, toolbox talks and coordinate permit‑to‑work systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Chemical).
• At least 3 years of site‑based HSE implementation experience in construction, oil & gas or industrial projects.
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor and/or ISO 14001 certification preferred.
• First Aid / Firefighting certification is an advantage.
