About the role
White Star Contracting is seeking a dedicated Health Safety Environment (HSE) Officer to oversee health and safety on a construction project in Dubai. The role involves coordinating HSE activities across subcontractors and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor health and safety performance on site.
- Create and submit regular HSE reports.
- Develop strategies to reduce incidents and investigate safety concerns.
- Design and deliver training programs, including induction for laborers.
- Coordinate HSE officers from subcontractors.
- Perform risk assessments and ensure corrective actions.
- Obtain all required authorities and NOCs.
Required profile
- Minimum two years of experience as an HSE officer with a main contractor in Dubai.
- NEBOSH or OSHA certification.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently.
- Strong organizational attention to detail.
- Valid UAE driver’s license.
