History Teacher – IGCSE (High/Secondary)

About the role

International Community School – Al Manhal Branch is seeking a passionate History Teacher to deliver IGCSE‑aligned history lessons to high/secondary students. The role involves creating engaging, inquiry‑based learning experiences that develop students’ critical thinking and appreciation of global history.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess history lessons in line with the UK IGCSE curriculum.
• Prepare teaching resources and integrate educational technology to enhance learning.
• Maintain effective classroom management and promote a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with the Social Sciences department and contribute to curriculum development.
• Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues regarding student progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in History or Education (minimum requirement).
• Minimum two years of teaching experience in a secondary school following the British curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of the UK history syllabus and assessment methods.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to inclusive, respectful, and culturally diverse learning environments.
