Hostess for Chitarra Italian Restaurant

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Downtown Dubai is seeking a professional Hostess to join the team at Chitarra, its Italian restaurant. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and seamless dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, manage seating arrangements and create a polished first impression.
• Handle reservations across all channels, maintain accurate records and coordinate table assignments based on guest preferences.
• Communicate guest allergies, preferences or special requests to service and kitchen teams.
• Provide menu and promotion information, assist with upselling beverages and support billing when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a hostess in a luxury hotel or high‑volume restaurant.
• High school qualification; hospitality or business degree is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written English; basic computer proficiency.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with reservation and table management systems.
• Competent use of MS Office applications.
