Hostess – Luxury Hotel Dining

About the role

The Hostess will be the first point of contact for guests dining at the hotel’s upscale restaurant, delivering five‑star service from greeting to farewell. You will manage reservations, seating plans and coordinate with the service team to ensure a seamless and personalized dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests warmly, creating a positive first impression.
• Manage restaurant reservations, table allocations, waiting lists and seating plans.
• Escort guests to their tables, ensure menus and settings are ready, and provide accurate waiting time updates.
• Answer telephone enquiries, handle reservation changes and special requests professionally.
• Recognize returning guests, VIPs and special occasions, communicating preferences discreetly to the service team.
• Maintain a clean, organized hostess desk and reception area reflecting luxury standards.
• Support the Food & Beverage team with special arrangements, celebrations and group bookings.
• Handle initial guest feedback or concerns, escalating to supervisors when necessary.

Required profile

• High school diploma; hospitality or related diploma preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience as a hostess or guest‑facing role in a five‑star hotel, luxury resort or upscale restaurant.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests of diverse nationalities.
• Professional appearance, grooming standards and a warm, guest‑focused personality.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, able to work under pressure during busy periods.
