Hostess - Prime 68 & ION

About the role

JW Marriott is hiring a hostess for its Prime 68 and ION restaurants in Dubai. The hostess greets guests, seats them and keeps the dining rooms running smoothly while following company and safety policies.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, count their party and seat them at a clean, available table, pulling out chairs and placing a clean, current menu in front of them.
• Guide guests through the dining rooms and help move and arrange tables, chairs and settings, including organizing seating for groups with special needs.
• Ensure each guest has a napkin, clean silverware and other items of the standard place setting, and that menus are current, clean and wrinkle-free.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practice clean-as-you-go, and monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and guest well-being.
• Follow company and safety and security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions to the manager, complete safety training and certifications, and keep a professional appearance and confidentiality.
• Answer phones with good etiquette, speak clearly and professionally, and build positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Stand, sit or walk for long periods and lift objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
