Hotel Cleanliness Expert

About the role

The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, a Forbes Travel Guide 5-Star hotel with 283 guest rooms and 55 suites, is hiring a Hotel Cleanliness Expert. The role ensures the cleanliness, tidiness and maintenance of guest rooms in the assigned area according to hotel standards and attends to guests' needs.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and return the master key and complete work assignments correctly.
• Make up guest rooms daily and perform the nightly turndown service.
• Tidy guest items as directed by procedure and keep the work environment clean.
• Clean and maintain marble and granite floors, guest rooms, carpets, wallpapers, furniture and bathrooms, as well as hallways.
• Maintain the cleanliness of public areas such as the lobby and public restrooms.
• Report defects, lost-and-found items and damage to carpets and upholsteries to Housekeeping.
• Report any unusual or suspicious behaviour of guests or staff.
• Use cleaning chemicals according to hotel instructions and keep cleaning equipment tidy.
• Follow grooming and uniform standards and comply with health and safety requirements.
• Work any shift assigned by the Housekeeping Manager and act courteously and efficiently.

Required profile

• Graduation degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hotel or housekeeping job in the service industry.
• Able to work any shift assigned by the supervisor.
• Able to withstand and handle a dusty and unclean work environment.
• Able to read and write simple English.
