Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor - Housekeeping

About the role

The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor at Le Meridien in Dubai oversees the quality of housekeeping work. The role checks that rooms, public areas and the pool meet quality standards after cleaning, supports housekeeping management and acts as a liaison between housekeeping, engineering, front office and laundry.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and the pool after cleaning to ensure quality standards.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritise cleaning and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist housekeeping management in managing daily activities.
• Coordinate housekeeping with Engineering, Front Office and Laundry, and document and resolve discrepant-room issues with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute and communicate room assignment changes, and brief the next shift on issues.
• Complete required paperwork and assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counselling, discipline and motivation of staff.
• Follow company and safety/security policies, report maintenance problems and safety hazards, and complete safety training and certifications.
• Provide professional, courteous service to guests and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Physical ability to move objects up to 55 pounds, handle a loaded housekeeping cart, stand or sit for long periods and use computers and point-of-sale systems.
