Housekeeping Attendant - Locker Room

About the role

Viya, part of wasl Hospitality & Leisure, is looking for a Housekeeping Attendant for its golf operations in Abu Dhabi. The role provides a well-presented and efficient locker room service for members and guests using the golf and recreation facilities, reporting to the Golf Operations Supervisor or Junior Locker Room Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a smart, professional appearance at all times, following company dress standards including the name badge.
• Keep the locker room clean and tidy, with soap and shampoo dispensers full and in good working order.
• Ensure floors and shower cubicles are regularly washed and dried, and sink tops are tidy.
• Collect used towels immediately and make sure towel stock is available from the laundry.
• Keep a sufficient supply of toiletries, submitting a requisition to Stores before replacements are needed.
• Switch on and off the sauna and/or steam room at the right times and report any faults to Engineering.
• Offer daily-use lockers to non-members when paperwork is completed, and follow the club's lost and found procedures.
• Provide a shoe cleaning service when requested and liaise with the Membership secretary on locker usage and payments.
• Follow locker room rules, including who may use the facilities and the need for discretion while changing.
• Display provided signage and take part in improvement activities, committees and training such as Fire Marshal or First Aider.
• Apply the 4 Service Steps to internal and external customers and comply with information security policies, reporting breaches to the IT Service Desk.

Required profile

• Grade VIII and above.
• Excellent communication skills and good command of English.
• Team player able to interact with guests from different countries and cultures.
• Desire to provide a high level of customer service.
