HSE Engineer – Road and Bridges

About the role

Al Marwan Group is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer / HSE Officer to manage health, safety and environmental compliance on road and bridge construction projects across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, client requirements and company policies.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, risk assessments and monitor construction activities such as excavation, lifting, scaffolding, traffic management and work at height.
• Implement permit‑to‑work systems, emergency response plans and investigate incidents.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and HSE awareness training.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance and maintain HSE records, reports and statistics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in road, bridge or infrastructure projects.
• NEBOSH IGC Certification (mandatory) and IOSH Managing Safely (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction safety standards.
• Excellent communication, reporting and problem‑solving skills; English mandatory, Arabic an advantage.
