Workshop Manager – Heavy Equipment & Fleet Maintenance

About the role

The Workshop Manager is responsible for overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance, repair and upkeep of Tadweer’s heavy construction equipment and truck fleets, ensuring optimal availability and cost‑effective operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general maintenance, preventive maintenance (PM) services and breakdown repairs for earthmoving equipment and commercial portable compactors, driving 15‑25% cost savings.
• Lead digitalisation of workshop operations, implement paperless reporting and maintain ISO‑compliant quality, health, safety and environmental standards.
• Develop and monitor maintenance schedules through SAP, control inventory, and prepare regular budgeting and forecasting reports.
• Train equipment operators, identify training needs and ensure continuous skill development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 18 years of experience in construction equipment/heavy‑duty maintenance, including at least 5 years in workshop management.
• 10 years of UAE experience and familiarity with local vendors and ISO standards.

Required skills

• Technical expertise with Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hyundai, Case, JCB and Bobcat equipment.
• Proficiency in SAP for maintenance scheduling and inventory control.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• MS Office proficiency for reporting and data entry.
