About the role
The HSE Manager will lead the health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) programme for a major project in Abu Dhabi, ensuring safe delivery, compliance and best‑value outcomes for the owner and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Champion a strong safety culture and drive engagement activities across the project.
- Lead a team of HSE professionals, including Lead HSE Engineers and Senior HSE Officers.
- Develop, implement and monitor the project HSSE management system, procedures and plans.
- Track HSSEQ performance, analyse trends and report achievements.
- Coordinate HSE input during the EPC phase, ensuring design and construction meet legal and owner standards.
- Manage contractor compliance, conduct inspections, toolbox talks and incident investigations.
- Oversee emergency response planning, medical evacuation arrangements and regular drills.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading HSE functions on large EPC or FEED projects.
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE legislation and international standards.
- Ability to analyse incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
