HSE Manager for Offshore Water Injection Project

About the role

The HSE Manager will lead health, safety and environmental management for the offshore brownfield water injection project on UZ Island, ensuring compliance with company, client and regulatory standards while fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Project HSE Management Plan.
• Lead risk assessments, HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, JSA and other safety studies.
• Monitor offshore construction, installation, commissioning and brownfield modification activities.
• Manage Permit‑to‑Work and Control of Work processes.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses and corrective action tracking.
• Conduct HSE inspections, audits and management site visits.
• Prepare and present HSE performance reports, KPIs and management reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related field.
• 20‑25+ years of HSE experience in oil & gas, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Extensive offshore EPC, brownfield modification and water injection project experience.
• Middle East/ADNOC offshore project experience preferred.

Required skills

• NEBOSH International Diploma, NVQ Level 6, CSP, GradIOSH/CMIOSH or equivalent.
• Lead Auditor certification ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 (highly desirable).
• Proficiency in HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, JSA, Permit‑to‑Work processes.
• Strong incident investigation and root cause analysis capabilities.
