HSE Officer – Chemical Manufacturing

About the role

A client of Agile Consultants is looking for an experienced HSE Officer to support Health, Safety and Environment activities at a chemical manufacturing facility in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The post covers monitoring workplace safety, risk assessment, safety training support, incident reporting and compliance with HSE standards. The salary is AED 7,000 - 9,000.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor workplace safety and ensure compliance with HSE regulations, standards and company procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
• Support employee safety training and awareness programmes.
• Assist in incident and accident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
• Maintain HSE documentation, inspection records, incident reports and compliance reports.
• Monitor safety equipment, PPE and emergency preparedness procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or a related field.
• 3-6 years of experience as an HSE or Safety Officer, preferably in a chemical or manufacturing plant.
• NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely or an equivalent HSE certification is mandatory.
• Strong observation, reporting and communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of OSHA, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Familiarity with chemical safety, PPE usage, risk assessments and emergency procedures.
