Diagnostic Technician - Aftersales

About the role

Al-Futtaim Automotive is looking for an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join its Aftersales team across the UAE, reporting to the Aftersales Supervisor or Aftersales Manager. The role covers diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing vehicles to the highest manufacturer standards while supporting customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
• Diagnose and rectify complex faults in engine, drivetrain, chassis, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Carry out Level III diagnostic and repair activities in line with manufacturer standards.
• Independently perform Level I repairs such as brakes, clutches, steering and suspension.
• Complete service and repair jobs within quality, productivity and time standards.
• Maintain a safe, organised workshop and follow housekeeping standards.
• Document technical findings and repair recommendations and give feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Deliver a good customer experience through quality workmanship and first-time fixes.

Required profile

• High School certificate and technical school qualification in Automotive Technology or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic in a dealership or workshop.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing engine, drivetrain, chassis, suspension, steering, brake and electrical systems.
• Certified Pro-Technician qualification preferred.
• Valid GCC driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to use advanced diagnostic equipment and technical manuals effectively.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Teamwork, attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.
