Human Resources Coordinator

About the role

The American University in Dubai’s Human Resources Department is seeking a proactive Human Resources Coordinator to support its operational functions. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the coordinator will play a key role in streamlining recruitment, onboarding, and employee services across the university.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the selection and recruitment process for staff and academic positions.
• Assist academic departments with faculty recruitment and coordinate relocation logistics for new faculty.
• Prepare and issue employment contracts and conduct orientation sessions for new employees.
• Provide HR support to all employees, advising on policies and procedures.
• Maintain employee records, absence logs, and the office filing system.
• Identify training needs, develop or source training programs, and coordinate delivery.
• Advertise vacancies in appropriate publications and act as liaison between HR and other university departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and team‑player attitude.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; bilingual English/Arabic preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and pay close attention to detail.
• Professional references available.

• Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
