Human Resources Coordinator

About the role

The American University in the Emirates is seeking a motivated Human Resources Coordinator to support daily HR operations, employee services, documentation and administrative processes. The role ensures accuracy, confidentiality and compliance with university policies and UAE labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day HR operations, serve as point of contact for routine HR inquiries and support HR officers, payroll division and department heads.
• Maintain accurate employee records in hard‑copy files and the HRMS, process employment certificates, letters and other HR documentation.
• Manage onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including orientation, system access, exit formalities and documentation updates.
• Prepare HR reports, employee statistics and trackers for management review and external authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HR administration or coordination.
• Strong planning, organizational and follow‑up skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication abilities and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with HR management systems (HRMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
