Humanities Teacher – Start August 2027

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a Humanities Teacher to join its growing network of schools in Abu Dhabi, starting in August 2027. The role involves delivering the English National Curriculum to a diverse student body and contributing to the school’s mission of empowering the next generation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Humanities lessons that cater to the full ability range of the class.
• Organise classroom resources, create displays and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assess student progress using Target Tracker, record data and use it to inform future planning and interventions.
• Provide feedback to parents and carers during conferences and other meetings.
• Implement the school’s behaviour policy, manage classroom dynamics and promote high expectations of conduct.
• Participate in curriculum action groups, support special events and run a weekly extracurricular activity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Teaching experience with the English National Curriculum, preferably across multiple age ranges.
• Proven ability to teach the UK National Curriculum and to work under pressure.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and CPD.

Required skills

• Use of Target Tracker for assessment recording.
• Familiarity with CPOMS or similar student welfare monitoring systems.
