ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse

About the role

An internationally accredited healthcare provider in Dubai is looking for experienced ICU nurses to join its critical care team. The role suits Western-trained nurses who want to provide high-acuity, round-the-clock care to critically ill adults in a modern, technologically advanced setting.

Key responsibilities

• Care for critically ill adults in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Monitor vital signs, manage ventilators and administer life-saving medications
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Work with intensivists, physicians and the multidisciplinary team to build and implement care plans
• Maintain accurate patient records through electronic health systems
• Follow infection control procedures and international nursing and safety standards
• Support and communicate clearly with families during difficult times

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Current, valid nursing licence in the home country or country of practice
• At least 2 years of recent ICU experience in a high-dependency or critical care setting
• Preference for candidates trained and registered in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa
• Willingness to work in Dubai

Required skills

• BLS and ACLS certification
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and critical thinking
• Comfort working in a multicultural team and adapting to international standards of care
