About the role
The In Room Dining Order Taker is responsible for handling guest room service orders over the phone at The Ritz‑Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal. The role ensures accurate order taking, communicates dietary needs to the kitchen, and provides excellent guest service.
Key responsibilities
- Take room service orders via telephone, answer menu and wine questions, and confirm details with kitchen staff.
- Log orders in the MICROS system, process payments, and generate closing reports.
- Communicate any delays, special dietary requirements, allergies, or guest concerns to management and the kitchen.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and adhere to safety, security, and uniform standards.
- Provide courteous, professional telephone etiquette and assist guests with disabilities.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
- Willingness to follow company policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
