Information Technology Governance Manager

About the role

The Information Technology Governance Manager will lead the implementation of enterprise risk management objectives and oversee the IT governance framework for a globally recognized client. This onsite role in Sharjah requires immediate availability and focuses on reducing technology risks and ensuring compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, manage and review the Risk & Control Self‑Assessment process.
• Develop and report Key Risk Indicators to measure control effectiveness.
• Provide strategic direction for emergency planning, disaster recovery, and cyber‑security threat analysis.
• Maintain IT policies, standards, procedures and conduct gap analysis against best practices.
• Design, implement and continuously improve ISO‑based IT management systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) within large organisations.
• Strong knowledge of international standards such as ISO 27001 and regulatory frameworks (PCI, NESA, UAE CB, CPR).
• Ability to represent the IT department in operational risk forums and coordinate audit and compliance activities.

Required skills

• ISO 27001 implementation and management.
• IT risk assessment and treatment methodologies.
• Development of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and reporting.
• Policy and procedure documentation for IT governance.
