Instrumentation & Control Technician (I-C)

About the role

The Instrumentation & Control Technician (I-C) is responsible for preventive, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance of plant instrument and process monitoring equipment. The role supports both routine operations and plant shutdown activities to ensure reliable equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance, repair and testing of instrumentation and control equipment according to SOPs.
• Carry out preventive maintenance during scheduled and unscheduled plant shutdowns.
• Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and test process control instruments and relay logic.
• Implement field or system modifications of control loops and update related plant drawings.
• Provide on‑the‑job training for UAE nationalization programs and maintain tools and safety gear.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in instrument and control maintenance.
• Ability to work in A/C environments and occasional exposure to heat, humidity and dust.

Required skills

• Instrument maintenance and preventive maintenance.
