International Arbitration Counsel / Partner (UAE/MENA)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading GAR‑100 international law firm to recruit a senior arbitration practitioner at counsel or partner level for its UAE office. The role offers the chance to lead high‑value, cross‑border disputes across the MENA region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead complex international arbitration matters from inception to award.
• Advise clients on dispute strategy, risk assessment, and enforcement across DIAC, ICC, LCIA, ICSID and ad‑hoc rules.
• Draft pleadings, memorials, submissions and other arbitration documentation.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and contribute to regional business development.
• Support and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Current title of counsel or partner at a GAR‑100‑ranked firm or an equivalent recognised practice.
• Proven track record in international commercial arbitration and/or investor‑state disputes.
• Experience in the UAE or broader MENA region preferred, though not essential.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and advocacy abilities.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with appetite for regional market development.

Required skills

• Strong legal research and drafting proficiency.
• In‑depth knowledge of international arbitration rules and procedures.
• Ability to manage multi‑jurisdictional enforcement actions.
