iOS Developer – Mobile Banking Applications

About the role

Synechron is seeking an experienced iOS Developer to join its banking and financial services team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining enterprise‑grade mobile banking applications for a global client base.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy native iOS applications using Swift, Objective‑C, and the iOS SDK.
• Implement mobile banking features such as account management, payments, transfers, card services, and digital onboarding.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, third‑party SDKs, and backend banking services while ensuring secure coding practices.
• Optimize performance, responsiveness, and scalability of the applications.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, UI/UX designers, and backend teams throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure timely resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience developing native iOS applications, preferably in the banking sector.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Swift, Objective‑C, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
• Experience with architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVC, VIPER, or Clean Architecture.
• Deep understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and API integration.
• Knowledge of mobile security standards, encryption, SSL pinning, Keychain, and OAuth 2.0.
• Familiarity with Core Data, UserDefaults, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and App Store deployment processes.
