About the role

Aldar Education is hiring an Islamic Studies Teacher for Virginia American School to start in November 2026. The role involves delivering engaging lessons and supporting student achievement within the American curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Islamic Studies lessons that cater to the full ability range of the class.
• Assess and record student progress using Target Tracker and provide feedback to parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues, curriculum support staff and external professionals to enhance learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy and act as a positive role model.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities and wider professional responsibilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• 1‑2 years’ experience teaching the American curriculum.
• Commitment to the school’s vision, values and continuous professional development.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of current developments in education and child protection safeguarding.
• Ability to teach across ability ranges and use data to inform planning.
