IT Procurement Specialist

About the role

The IT Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing the purchase of AV, ELV, ICT and AI products and solutions. This role works closely with sales, presales and project teams to ensure accurate costing and timely delivery of equipment for customer quotations and tenders.

Key responsibilities

• Source and obtain competitive quotations from authorised distributors, vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, warranty conditions and other commercial terms.
• Compare multiple supplier quotations and recommend the most suitable option based on price, availability, delivery and technical requirements.
• Support sales and presales teams with accurate product costing and procurement pricing.
• Maintain strong relationships with key distributors, vendors and channel partners.
• Coordinate product availability, lead times and delivery schedules.
• Ensure procurement requests align with approved technical specifications and project requirements.
• Identify alternative products or sourcing options when needed.
• Maintain updated records of quotations, price lists, purchase orders and vendor information.
• Monitor market pricing to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support vendor registration, supplier evaluation and performance reviews.
• Ensure procurement activities follow company approval processes and commercial policies.

Required profile

• 2.5+ years of experience in AV, ELV, ICT procurement, purchasing or vendor management.
• Prior experience in a system integration company is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of the IT distribution and reseller ecosystem in the UAE.
• Experience sourcing and purchasing across multiple IT infrastructure categories.
• Strong experience obtaining quotations and negotiating commercial terms with distributors and vendors.
