IT Support - Enterprise Monitoring (6-Month Contract)

About the role

Join a federal/government banking environment in Abu Dhabi to support the installation, configuration and monitoring of critical IT applications, systems and databases. This 6‑month contract is renewable based on project needs and requires an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily system monitoring, verify hardware and server resources, review uptime and confirm scheduled jobs such as backups and DR replication.
• Execute daily backup operations, ensure data is correctly backed up, create recovery media and manage media recycling.
• Provide Level‑1 support across teams, investigate and troubleshoot issues, and respond to IT, datacenter and DB alerts.
• Monitor performance and capacity of IT systems, applications and datacenter components, and conduct core banking end‑of‑day activities.

Required profile

• Fluent Arabic (spoken and written) and strong English communication skills.
• Immediate availability (join within one week).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or Computer Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience in a Data Centre/IT Support role, preferably with a UAE federal or government entity.

Required skills

• Server systems: Rack‑Mountable, Blade, Converged.
• Storage: SAN, NAS, backup & archive.
• Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, AIX.
• Security equipment: biometric access, CCTV.
• Virtualization: VMware, Hyper‑V, OpenShift.
• Understanding of on‑prem and cloud infrastructure architecture.
