Italian Restaurant Manager

About the role

Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, a five-star beachfront luxury hotel in Abu Dhabi, is looking for a Restaurant Manager for its Italian restaurant. The role oversees daily operations, maintains luxury service standards and leads the restaurant team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, conduct daily briefings and monitor cleanliness, ambiance and opening/closing procedures
• Coordinate with the kitchen, supervise reservations and seating, welcome guests, handle complaints and follow up feedback
• Recruit, train, coach and evaluate staff, prepare schedules and enforce grooming, hygiene and uniform standards
• Achieve revenue and profitability targets, control labour costs and manage operating expenses
• Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine on menu planning and seasonal promotions, support wine and beverage promotions
• Monitor inventory, control waste and spoilage, and ensure HACCP, food safety, hygiene, sanitation and municipal compliance

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager in a luxury hotel or fine-dining Italian restaurant
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Sound knowledge of Italian cuisine, wines and restaurant operations
• Fluent English; Italian is an advantage
