Junior Accountant – Graduate Programme

About the role

Elsewedy Electric, a manufacturer of electrical products and solutions operating in 19 countries, is offering a Junior Accountant position through its Graduate Development Programme. The programme is aimed at graduates with 0-2 years of experience and includes job rotations, mentorships, coaching and training. It is open to 2025 and 2026 graduates.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain general ledger entries and financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly bank, credit card and account reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable activities.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company accounting policies.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• An engineering or equivalent technical field is also acceptable.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• 0-2 years of experience in the same field.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, Tally or Oracle is a plus.
